The sapling of DAV was sown in may 1986. It is the Pioneer and premier Institute of una . In a due span of time DAV lathiani has made its authentic presence not in una but in all Himachal.
The school has the rare distinction of celebrating its Silver Jubilee ceremony. The school is affiliated to HP BOARD New Delhi and managed by DAV CMC New Delhi. In Lathiani it is being looked after by LMC, distinguished and qualified Principal and dedicated staff.
Initially classes were started in a rented building up to V standard at main bazaar of lathiani. After that it never looked back and progressed with untiring efforts of both Delhi and school management.
Aim and Policy

Activities apart from traditional courses the school lays emphasis on all round development of the students. We have four Houses Viz. BOSE DAYANAND, HANSRAJ AND SHIVAJI. Each house is headed by an Incharge and house captain. D.A.V. Senior Secendory Public School Lathiani is situated on Una-Hamirpur highway near Lathiani. It is 100 meters away from the main road. It is situated at a very peaceful place so that there is no kind of disturbance here. Some of the local people have great contributions in the building and development of the school. Some people have donated their lands for the building of the school.
This school was a model school before 1996. But in 1996 when Sh. Lakhbir Chand Saini came to this school as the principal of the school he did made efforts to take the school to the new heights. In 1996 with his efforts and the help of local managing committee this school came under the control of D.A.V. C.M.C. New Delhi. From that day thios school is flourishing day and night.
This school is ahead in every field and activity incuding academic , sports, cultural etc.. The growth in the academic results and others is increasing every session. Primary section
There is a kidengarden situated in a school for entertainment of the small kids. The various interactive games and activities are also organized for the entertainment of the students.There is a big library situated in a school in which studentscan study in their free time.
